ABOUT HELL POP:
Formed by Chaz Thunderstix, Chaz and the Chaztastics were the premier Pop Wedding band in the Metro Atlanta area. Specializing in Iconic pop/dance/hip hop songs from over 3 decades, The Chaztastics were a party favorite and booked up year-round. But all of that changed one fateful spring night in the rural Georgia woods.
April 13th, 2019 Chaz and group arrived at their gig for the night. This was an after-wedding party in a remote cabin near the north Ga mountains. No one else was on site yet, but the group went a head and got the equipment set up and ready. Just as sound check was ready to start, Chaz accidentally flung his lucky drumstick to the floor. But before anyone could get to it, it rolled between two planks of flooring and disappeared.
The band could hear Chaz rummaging around down the cellar looking for the stick when he yelled “Hey come check this thing out” (and for once he wasn’t referencing his junk) Rusty was the first down the stairs and witnessed Chaz playing with some kind of rubiks cube looking thing made out of hair and leather or skin. “Put that down dumbass!” but it was too late. The cellar door slammed down, a dark thick musky fog settled in. The low whispers of otherworldly voices could be heard swirling throughout the cellar. Shrieks and screams of agony came from the band of 5 and then all of a sudden, silence.
The cellar door crashed open, and the band arose. The party was now at capacity, and the partygoers well served. The crowd started to chant and welcome the band as they grabbed their instruments. Fans calling out their favorite pop anthems in unison the band heard “Hit Me Baby!”. And they did. What came out of the PA was Demon inspired dark, deep, heavy metal versions of every song they requested all night. The crowd was now under the control of Demonas, The demon lord of metal and together they chanted “Hell Pop, Hell Pop, Hell Pop, Hell Pop”.
Thus began the reign of Hell Pop “Masters of Pop Hits”. Playing the songs you know, the way they should be played. Heavy FN Metal.
